Battery for W211 e class what type? (S211)

I'm probably going to buy a ctek battery charger gizmo as I'm hardly using the car. Just been out to it with hazards going and no alarm.... Key didn't stop hazards then alarm started?


So again sat in car engine running and alarm going.....


Is this the sign of a dead battery or flat one. It's the original battery 7 years old.


Does anyone know what I need to get a quote for size wise etc? I will get the charger first but if all it needs is s new battery I will get one

W211 uses an expensive 95Ah battery and if you go for the 'proper' AGM one it's about £190+ for a Varta unit.

A compatible sealed unit is around £75+. (ISTR seeing Kwik Fit quoting £85).

Found a bosh silver plus 830a at halfords with 5 year warranty £110 or "another" make £85


Is this just a case of swapping them over in these cars?
