Hi

I've got a new GLC 300 under warranty, 71 plate, what I have found is the battery yellow and red warning keeps coming up, and the MercedesME app keeps coming up with battery critical. This is despite driving it around a lot. Worryingly, a more serious warning came up on the dash whilst driving that the battery is not being charged. I took it to Mercedes and was told the battery checks are ok so nothing needs doing. In between the problems the car runs fine, and it has not failed to start ever. But this seems like a problem that may uncover in the future. I once caught the voltage to be low even when revving the car at 11.8V. I've showed all this to Mercedes still no luck, get told a bunch of excuses. I made a complaint to Mercedes and they have just given me a generic response and closed the complaint. I'm a bit concerned as the warranty is nearing to an end. I feels fobbed off by this issue! Not sure how to go about this. Any thoughts from the community would be welcome.

Second issue is tyre crabbing, which I understand is a known issue but after 1-2 years of driving they are suggesting to replace the tyres at my cost to all season. Which seems a bit unfair if this is a part solution to the issue.

Cross climates get rid of the tyre crabbing , hopefully any softer rubber compound tyre will. I toying with Goodyear vector for my GLC 2nd winter of banging 🙄🙄. Buy yourself a cheap smart charger eBay £10 and use the jump start pegs . Give it till it reaches 100% and turns off . Then see what the voltages are , tbh the cars charge rate should be 14.4 v at least.

My C250 had the same warnings on Mercedes Me, battery critical, start engine etc etc, this was on a European holiday travelling hundreds of miles every day. So the battery was fully charged.
A while later the stop/start never seemed to work, the aux battery which is not a battery but a capacitor was replaced under warranty, no problem since.
Not sure if connected or coincidence though.
