On Monday I had to charge the consumer battery on my R230 SL500 due to a consumers offline message. Once the battery completed charging I went for a drive and within seconds I had a red battery icon and a malfunction message. I checked the battery and it was reading 11.7v which I believe indicates a duff battery. Today I replaced the battery with a new one which is fully charged and measuring over 13v but I still get the red battery icon indicating a malfunction. It i turn the engine off and on again the malfunction has gone but after a few seconds it comes back. I have no error codes on my iCarsoft but I did an error code clear anyway. Do I need to do something else?
