HI, guys whats the correct battery reading i shuld get, tested it this morning and i got 12.3v displayed on the cluster. i have a 2006 c180.
thank you

With the car running it should be about 13.8 volts, best to check it with a proper meter on the battery

IIRC a fully charged battery with no load should read between 12.6V and 13.2V across the terminals and fully discharged around 11.8V - 12V. Reading voltage alone though will only point to the state of charge in a healthy battery or if very low (below 11.8V) possibly indicate a faulty cell. Temperature is also a factor with slightly lower voltages shown at lower temperatures

To properly test a battery you also need to test it under load with a load tester to check that both capacity and cranking ability are up to scratch.
