E 250 CDI W212 A/G collected 10 Dec 09, but not from Dartford.
I have had my new W212 E250 for just 18 months when (Thurs 30 Jun) it failed to start on my drive. I rang Mobilo who had someone at my door 45mins later (excellent service) they quickly got the engine started from their booster pack and carried out diagnostics on the star. Their conclusion was that the battery was being drained by something not turning off, initial thoughts was that it had something to do with the Radar sensors (Distronic+). Car was booked into Dartford MB Dealers and I arranged for a replacement car through Mobilo, C class arrived from Enterprise rental next day, again excellent service. My car remained at the dealers until Wed 29 Jun when I was told that the issue had been fixed and I could collect the car. The next morning the same thing happened again, the battery was flat. Car back at Dartford and this time I have an E class replacement arranged through Mobilo who came out to me within 45 mins of call.

What I find odd is that with all the fancy electronic warning systems that are on the car why is there nothing to indicate the state of the battery, I feel I was lucky that the car was at home when the dead battery became apparent, the second issue concerns the report from the dealer as to what the fault was and how they fixed it. The only report I received from them was a print out Xentry which had 4 pages of electronic tests and had ticks against all, but nothing that relates to the condition or state of the battery. Should I be provided with specific details of the fault and what they have done to rectify it?

Battery woes

Three weeks have past and still no sign of car being returned, wonder what could be the problem, no notification of what the issue is from the dealer!:dk::dk::dk::wallbash:

They should have come back to you by now surely. That E Class is costing someone a pile of money to hire for you.

Hope you get an answer and a satisfactory result soon.
