Becker map pilot - cheaper subs...

The Becker map pilot is being offered for 99 euros for a two year subscription at the moment. Dunno what that is in proper english money, yet, but it is definitely cheaper. The offer lasts until 12th August.


BTW I have improved MY map pilot by turning off the opportunity for the thing to speak the names of the roads as the car turns into them. The thing now just says turn left or turn right, (and sometimes half right or half left).

It was making such an ass of itself with trying to pronounce british place names...

At the historical rate Becker offer map updates you will be lucky to get more than one- perhaps two map updates in that time. It would perhaps be fairer to offer say 2 upgrades for the money rather than this "window of opportunity" type approach.

Just got the bill, in english money.
Total £86.11.
So worthwhile I guess, now lets see how many updates I get during the 2 years!
