Becker Map Pilot - No longer a smooth zoom!

Hi, recently updated my Map Pilot (in W212 Estate) to software version 2.5.26 (Maps 2011Q2)
Since doing this, the zoom in and out when using centre control button(Not Autozoom) jumps from 50yds, 100 yds, 0.1Mile, 0.3Mile etc.

It use to be a nice gradual zoom in and out, ie spin the button and it would slowly zoom out to cover whole of the UK - now if i turn the button 4 or 5 times I get to see the UK !

Anyone got any solution to this ? Becker not got back with an answer.

Any way of downgrading to previous software version (No, unfortunately not got a back up !)

Does everyone elses maps now do this ? - do I need to upgrade maps for it to work more smoothly ?

Lots of questions - but hopefully an answer out there somewhere.

Had my car new in May of this year, with Map Pilot, and IIRC it never zoomed smoothly. I took advantage of the free 45 day upgrade, and it's still the same.

So presumably it's called "progress"?

Progress it is then, I suppose if you have not had it with a smooth zoom there is nothing to compare it to.
Becker phone support have been good but just confirmed what you have said!

I'll get use to it.
