Bench Test Fuel Regulator

Hi All,
Does anyone know of a way to bench test a fuel regulator (w201/124 era)? I'm led to believe that it can be done with a vacuum tester but not sure.

Well i have done accumulators on my W124 but i dont know if the regulator can be checked with vacuum tester but i would fit the vac tester on the rubber tube that exits the regulator ,,,dont use to much pressure on the vac tester, or you will damage it .. inside the regulator is a rubber membrain ...if it is split you wont get a reading on the vacuun tester .And another way is look for fuel in the rubber vent pipe that comes out the rear .
