BENTLET SERVICE COST

Watching a video on the Car Whizards shop . The owner bought in his newish Bentley for an oil and filter change .. He said the owner wanted 1 litre of Lucas fully synthetic and 6 litres of Mobil 1 ..i just could not grasp the reason for this odd mix ..

Maybe the owner grew up on the mean streets of Hockley in inner-city Birmingham, and he moved to the US to make his fortune. Whilst you can take the boy out of Birmingham, you can’t take the Birmingham out of the boy, and so his pride for all things British has grown stronger and stronger as each year passes. As well as the Bentley he has a Rolls-Royce and Morgan in his garage, and a Union Jack flying proudly on a pole in the centre of his front lawn. He may have amassed considerable wealth but he is still a humble man, and he hasn’t forgotten his past, and so insisting on Lucas branded oil helps him to celebrate his humble beginnings in Birmingham and remember his journey to where he is today.

But Lucas branded stuff has been rubbish for absolutely ages, so best just pour a drop of the Lucas branded oil in there, and fill with the good stuff. Or maybe it’s for an even stranger reason 😁

No idea what a newer one is like to work on but I'm currently replacing the fuel rail o rings on my 96 Continental R. What a 13astard this car is to work on. Hopefully the Germans made things easier.

Just for information only ,,To purchase , and fit , 4 ceramic brake discs, and pads to the Aston Martin Vantage would just cost you £26000 pounds .
Ouch -

AMG-GTS
Front ceramic disks £6709.90
Front ceramic pads. £374.40
Rear ceramic disks. £6528.60
Rear ceramic pads. £368.40
Labour ??

As most of the Aston electronics is Mercedes, I wonder if disks/pads are same !
