Bentley Boy!

I was running through the build sheet for the Bentayga today and discovered that the original owner from the West Country had optioned the car up to the tune of almost £43k:eek:
It was always said at Bentley, that of those buyers who came the 'boutique' in Crewe to spec their cars, 90% didn't ask the price!
That seems entirely believable now. I thought the Macan had a ridiculous figure of £16k extras, but I didn't pay anything like the price of the Bentley options for the Porsche itself!
I am glad the first owner splashed out on the Touring, City and Mulliner specs which bring tangible benefits. I'm even more pleased they spent almost £4K on the Dynamic ride but less so that they spent over £10k on the rear seat infotainment and TV, most of which is now stored under the boot floor.
The car is now cleaning up nicely and is pretty much mint now. I have gone through a number of clay bars and got almost enough tar off the lower doors to resurface the M25.....;)😂
You should reinstate the rear entertainment kit for your woofers and invest in dvd box sets of Porridge and Open All hours.
Dogs love a bit of Ronnie Barker.

Of course, if they aren't in the mood for video, they could just sit and listen to Pink Floyd.....The Bark Side Of The Moon
Funny you should mention that. I put together a hi-res sampler on a micro SD card for a mate who had just invested in a posh personal music player.
It contained the latest hi-res version of 'Bark side', and he was so blown away with the sound his wife is contemplating a surgical removal of his ear buds...

I spent 2 weeks on a Greek beach listening to music on my MP3 player and cordless earbuds; nowhere near top notch kit, but Floyd's Division Bell album in WAV format was epic nonetheless 😎

The Pollie and the Collie started traveling together in 'Vera' the 'Deafener', a very noisy place to be.
Now in much quieter cars they tend to be asleep almost before we leave the drive. They do travel very well.
It was Mylo's 6th brithday today:cool:

Aww, bless them ❤️

My wife drove the Bentley for the first time today and found it very easy to drive. We had to pick up a dog from the vets in the city and I took the opportunity the refuel the car for the first time. Good news is that it was well inside the £99 'shut off' limit in our normal 'selfserve' fuel outlet.
With a full tank, the range was reading 685 miles. 10 miles home and the reading is still 675 (!)
I wonder how many Bentleys have actually done over 700 miles on a tank of fuel?
The Le Mans winning Bentley used fuel at about 6.5 mpg.
The JCB diesel land speed record car managed over 10 mpg while setting a 350 mph record. 700 miles on a tank of fuel is just 42mpg, which is what the car returned on my journey back from the dealers.
I can see the beginnings of a new range record in a Bentley coming on here.....

Nice :)

Reminds me of my first E63 - a 2012 car - which had been first registered by MBUK and had just shy of £25k in optional equipment.

I bought it at 18 months old and paid less than twice the cost of the factory options it had on it for the whole car
Ahhhh, those were the days, when AMGs halved in value every 18-24 months (retail).

Even better days when, in very specific conditions (just out of the first lock down), you could buy a 6 month A8 for 50% RRP....and I did!
My Bentley appears to have been specced by the Bristol dealer and was sold as ex demo at 6 months old for £144k (gross?) Some would say!

That’s really going some for a Mercedes

I'm beginning to worry about the mileage on my Bentley.
There is one on here only a few months older but has only 125k miles more miles on it. It is a lighter shade of blue, but other than that looks very similar!
But it has £65k worth of options and is now selling for less than the cost of those options......:dk:
I think mine has a little life left in it yet😁

It's got an optional extra scrape on the NSF wing too.

My mutt hates travelling in the car. He constantly pants & seems stressed.

The thought of buying, or come to think of it, selling, a FIFTY GRAND car on eBay/privately!?!?! I just couldn't, on either side.
