ONE OFF MERCEDES 320 SL For Sale (1997) on Car And Classic UK [C191561]
Seen that before - appropriate number plate. Poor R129...
Why would anyone buy that for £12k when you can get a genuine R230 for that money?
"HERE WE HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL" got that bit right...
And it "SOUNDS ARSUM NEW SOFT TOP PANARAMIC COLOUR CODED HARD TOP"
Oh dear !
Presumably the head restraint screens are for the following traffic?
Appropriate plate indeed!
I AM APPALLED.
Yuk Yuk Yuk - my poor poisoned eyes!
Seriously though "ALL CARBON PANELS". That must have cost a fortune and given serious weight = performance advantages...
If true a valid point. I do wonder though if the seller has carbon fibre and fibre glass mixed up? (A cynical guess perhaps)
I remember these being advertised by a company in Mercedes enthusiast circa 2001.
You should see what they did to W140's
will have a google see if I can find one.
What a waste!
I saw a conversation relating to these 129/230 lash-ups mention it was RUDEMERCS who did some of them. I mention in case it helps your search.
Just found it in a magazine, the company was SL Cars the price of conversion on an SL was from £15k.
For a real bargain they could ruin a W140 for just £5k
They also offered "upgrades" such as interior/stereo work and chrome wheels.
I googled Rude mercs as it did cross my mind, but it seems even they drew the line somewhere!
Found the magazine....
Not sure if that's a slogan or advise!
Cant quite read it ... Does it say what the wings are made of?
All lights (inc. xenon headlamps) are genuine MB, along with grille and mirrors. The panels it simply states are German TuV Quality approved.
To describe the driver, you won't need the 'um'...
