Could work out quite cheap to stage it in London:

Use the tramps and beggars as crash barriers
Use the big issue sellers as marshals
The Romanian pick pocketers can grab all the cash from spectators
We could have an old "Le Mans" style start where the drivers have to run out of an underground station (using oyster cards) to get to the cars.

Will make great tv... as for why London....? no one out side of the UK cares about anywhere else in Britain.... maybe Edinburgh but having wet my self laughing at their ability to build tram track an F1 circuit would defo be beyond them.

What an absurd idea. Monaco isn't a race any longer it's simply an event.

This is just another money spinning event.

What I'd like to see is more race circuits like Spa, Imola, Silverstone and Monza. Proper racing circuits with 60%+ full throttle and heavy breaking zones.

No more circus circuits please Bernie.

Well I for one dont think it will ever happen.
I read today that it has been talked about since Stirling Moss's day!

Bernie is really doing his best to ruin F1 totally and losing UK fans i am sure.

if only someone would put something on tv at a decent time I think we could convert!
even that American stuff.
