It's back again but what a beauty! How I would love a w126 in this colour. I'm surprised though that what seems such a well looked after car can have inoperative a/c?

It's usually because they have the old R12 aircon gas and you can't refill it these days. An expensive conversion to the newer gas..

It's a shame, as both the bumpers have been pushed in, and the bonnet is out of alignment. It's had new, genuine front wings to replace rusty ones, so that shouldn't be the reason.

I have a huge soft spot for beryl blue, but I'm not sure if it works for me on this model.

No you don't need an expensive conversion to the newer gas R134a, all you need is to find someone competent to change it over to RS24. I've had it done to my own car in the past and it worked a treat.
