Best Ebay ad for a long time.

If it wasn't a 2 door car i'd have that off you. Need to be able to get a child seat in the back though :(

You'll find the W140 Coupe to have a phenomenal amount of space in the back. the seats are very very wide and there is serious amounts of headroom (probably enough for above 6ft 5!)

As you are local you are welcome to come down anytime (it its not already sold!) and have a look to see if it meets your needs! (bring your kiddy seat :) )

Falkirk. it's more about reaching into the back to fit the thing in place that's the issue! Two door cars don't lend themselves to that very well! What's the boot like though? <--- still tempted even though it looks like it will be wrong!

Why is the insurance quote for this coming back at 2 quid more than the 1993 C180!!!??? Madness.

Damn! Excuse No:1 ruled out.

Alot of my ladies actually find it easier to get kiddies in car seats in 2 door cars apparently :)

the boot is very very big. The car overall, is massive.

but sadly

is sold!

This time to a very pleasant and honest man from Essex who came, paid and took it away!

Thanks to all for the interest.

My w124 Coupe takes a Recaro Young Expert (up to 3years) and a Recaro Monza (3-11 years) both non isofix models no problem at all :thumb: So the 140 Coupe sould be a doddle.

Being 6'4" its not often that I do not have to have the seat back as far as it goes, but in my new aquisition (CL420, thanks to Peg0r) I actually had to have the seat well away from its fully extended position!

Edinburgh to Ongar, Essex in 6 hours as well and stepped out of it feeling like it was a 2 hour journey. Well pleased with it:bannana:

I'm glad someone on here got it, I almost bought it myself but just didn't have the time to get it from so far away....

I would consider putting the standard 18" wheels back on, these Amg's seem a little lost! I know they are the same size but the originals seem to do a better job of filling the arches....

Worth remembering. We only have the one seat (Recaro Young Xpert as it happens) so have to swap it in and out a bit depending who is taking the boy to nursery so slight concern about how quick and easy it is crawling into the back!

Deffo looking for something with a bit more oomf! ;)

I sold my CL500 since, while the base would go in fine, trying to get the seat in with the baby in it simply would not work - the angles and length were such that the poor thing was being posted almost vertical in.

The fellow still has it and clocked up a lot of miles so nice to see that it is being used.

Congratulations on the new purchase MrMotul

I have to drop the rear window to allow me the elbow room when using the young expert. It isnt ideal, but my coupe is a back up car with the car seat only being used when the family Passat is tied up. The seat is permanently plumbed in as it is a pain to fit.

I'm with you on that one Jay, although the car has been lowered by an inch or two and I am wondering if the original alloy would look as good as the Aero does. Would be good if I could find an original to try it out though?

Stick with the AERO's - it looks excellent. I understand that it is possibly using AMG suspension (which was an option at the time)

I live in South Essex and have a CL500 with the original 18" alloys. If you ever wanted to pop over and try one your more than welcome.

That's interesting because I noticed on the way back that the car has less roll than I expected, although the previous owner thought that the suspension had been dropped? I'll have to get a spec sheet from Mercedes because am I right in thinking that the Russian Vin site is no more? Anyway, all will be revealed soon coz I think one of the rear shocks is out, so its up on the ramp this saturday to try and find the vibration problem that was consistent from 50mph onwards, bit of a bummer though as I am away for 5 days today and we need FIVE SEATS, so the BEAST WITH TWO DOORS has to stay behind:doh: Who invented Kids:devil:

Terry.

I had thought about it and was told that the springs were AMG (I spotted that the car was sitting lower than normal)

Whether it was the AMG option from new or just springs put in later, I am not sure.

If anyone is interested, I am selling the CL because I have found an S320 CDI which will do away with both the CL and E220 CDI we own (my cousin is having the E220 CDI) if anyone wants the CL, its a lot cheaper than it was when I bought it,

Terry.

Are you facing a large imminent invoice for work?

What's your price?
