Best Indy up to 100 miles north of London?

Hi All,

I've just bought a 2002 SL55 that needs a B service. There are a bunch of items that need replacing due to time and I've been quoted £1610 from a MB dealer.

I think I'd prefer to get the work done by a specialist (although the car has FMBSH so far) to be sure that it gets done well.
I'd also like to have a SL55 knowledgable mechanic look at the car and point out any further work that might need doing.

Given the expense, I'd be happy to travel to get the work done. I often visit family near Corby so anywhere up to about 100 miles north of London would be fine.

Where's the best place to go to?

In no huge hurry - it looks as if Olly at PCS is the default "plan B", just a shame it's in the wrong direction for me.

I've used them on my CLK500 and just a top friendly service. They seem very enthusiastic about the Mercs they work on.

Wouldn't like to start comparing between suppliers, not having used PCS either...
