Morning all,

Inspired by the picture of the Kebab in ***'s thread and following on from the Fish and Chips thread, I thought it would be interesting to compile a directory of the best Kebab shops.

My starter for 10 and I would really give this place 10 out of 10, is Wood Oven on George Lane in South Woodford. It is truly the best Kebab that I have ever eaten and better than most that I tried when I visited Turkey.

The meat is fantastic quality and their prices are very good.

My recommendation is the Wood Oven Special, a mixed grill of Chicken Shish, Lamb Shish, Kofta, Lamb Chops, Lamb Ribs, Chicken Wings, rice and the most amazing Salad, plenty to feed two and just £17.

umm.. think i know what i will have for dinner today :)

First time I've seen that sober! I usually end up with a banjo kebab - you know the one - when you've spilt it down your front. You hold the kebab away from you to the side with one hand, and wipe the spillage away with the other, using a drunken, strumming action!

As a large city, Birmingham has many kebab shops, catering for every taste.
Here's a South Birmingham example....
