Best ODBII Code Reader?

Hi All.
Im looking to buy a code reader for my 2009 W221 320CDiL

Recommendations?

Star is option 1 (genuine not copy) but massive costs associated to this. I want to be able to dig deep enough to read the cars sub-systems and not just basic ECU outputs and clear codes. One activity is to reset the rear Air Con which is not calibrated properly.....

I have sen a couple of readers at ~£200 which appear to go deeper and have access into more of the control units.......

Appreciate input or anyone near NE England happy to "rent" Star on occasion to recover some costs they have already laid out.

Most use icarsoft mb2 v2. I'm more than happy to rent mine out.

MB only sell new STAR systems to garages anyway, i.e. you'll need to be able to demonstrate that you are a garage (website etc). Original second hand unit do come up for sale from time to time, but they are rare.

iCarsoft MB v2.0 is pretty much the best you can do without breaking the bank.

Loaning/renting STAR is a good option if you can get it, otherwise establish a relationship with a friendly specialist.
