Hi,
Im after Air Flow sensor and HT Lead set for my C55AMG.
My garage is insisting on fitting genuine parts on my car but im not so keen on paying £219+ vat for Air Flow sensor and £440+Vat  for ignition lead set (Merc`s RRP`s)
Can anyone recommend good place to get those parts and save some money?
Thanks in advance

The air flow sensor is made by Bosch I beleive?

A number of MB dealers offer discounted parts on line but the leads may not be a stock item and hence may have to be ordered.

As for your garage insisting; you are the customer, you are paying and it is your choice what parts are fitted.

Some aftermarket parts may not be the same quality (MAF's often are not) but as long as you are aware of what constitutes an acceptable quality part such as OE supplier sourced parts then the choice is yours.

Try here: http://www.mercedes-benz-parts.co.uk/

Well lets say that when I questioned price for Ignition lead set (Air Flow sensor and labour will be covered by my warranty) and suggested supplying this myself they have refused to fit non Mercedes (quote "Mickey Mouse") parts.
Fun and Games!!!

If the MAF iis covered by your warranty why does the price concern you?

If the leads are not covered under warranty then try elsewhere, dealers may well have a set in that are sitting on a shelf and may be willing to discount.

MB almost certainly do not make the ignition leads, they will likely be sourced from a supplier. try to find out who that is or search for companies that make leads to order, there are specialist companies who make such items for racing and high performance engines so not "Mickey Mouse" parts

I know.
Im taking car to another mechanic who is happy with fitting good quality Non Mercedes parts. So now somebody else will make some money on me and my insurance company... simples
Their loss

Buy the parts yourself from Mercedes and ask for a discount, I found them hard to beat for service items.

Plus you don't have the hassle if it's the wrong part; give the parts department your VIN and itll all be correct, I've lost count how much time I've wasted taking back parts to aftermarket suppliers.

Why worry if the maf is covered by your warranty, I only would use genuine parts or suppliers of genuine parts if it were my car.

I'd consider fitting non genuine to a daily runaround ... not a AMG car. Just my opinion.

leads are also Bosch, half the price of dealers if you get them from a bosch agent.
