The auxiliary battery malfunction message has popped up in my 2014 e class. Looks like I need a new aux battery.
I popped my reg number into euro car parts and Halfords but neither list the aux battery. Is Mercedes the best place to purchase a replacement or can anyone recommend anywhere else I can find one?

Strange as it may seem, Mercedes dealers at times can be the cheapest. Plus it will be the correct item. Give them a call.

Thanks. I will give the dealer a call tomorrow.

Yesterday I fitted a new aux battery supplied by Tanya.

They were very competitive and quick delivery. I upgraded to an Agm battery with increased Ah & A spec.

Green eco light for first time.

It’s actually a motorcycle battery but will do great. Don’t be put off by the ads which state you’ll need to fill up with a separate acid pack, it’s uk law that acid cannot be sent separate this way so they’ll do it for you.

MB grangemouth was a lot cheaper than my local dealer. Tanya was £20 cheaper but I decided to go with Grangemouth in case the issue was not the actual battery. I thought if I had to take it into a MB dealer it would be better with a genuine battery.
It arrived today and I fitted it in ten minutes. The aux battery warning has now gone.
Thanks for the advice.
