Best place to sell R129 SL hard top - price to ask etc?

I'm selling my 1994 blue/black (paint code 199) R129 SL hard top. It's in pretty much mint condition.

Any ideas what sort of price I should be asking for this - and best place to sell - here / ebay etc etc.

I'm up close to Blackpool - North West UK.

Only the panoramic tops fetch big money... mainly because every SL had a hard top from new, so not exactly difficult to find if yours gets damaged or lost!?

So Id stick it on an ebay auction.... an educated guess would say its worth between £3-400.

I'm buying Mike's pano roof . Do you have any idea what price I should be looking at for my current roof - to move it along quickly?

Try looking at the sale price for completed items on eBay. As mentioned all R129s came with a hard top though, so I wouldn't have thought demand would be that high?

I very much doubt you will get £3-400 for it.

I would advertise it for about £250 with a view to taking £200, there are loads around for sale.

I guess as older R129s are starting to be scrapped the hard tops (which being mostly aluminium are normally in good condition) are being sold off. But it's a limited market - you only need one per R129
