Ok, well the long manual adjustment lever hits against the side of the dash so you are unable to adjust it, there is no lever on the passenger side so does this mean the switch on the centre console is for something else?
Okay, well I think I must have made a good guess regards that central switch... so it is not working....Now, is there any reason why the stalk of the manual drivers mirror should be pushed in to the side of the dash board? I'm asking here if anyone else has ever had the same problem?
I did have this problem .At the time i was having problems to adjust the mirror the adjusting leaver was pushed over as far as it would go and i was still unable to see to the rear of the car the ball knuckle on the back of the glass mirror had come off .Take it all off the car and look at it not a brain puzzle to replace the arm try this first, hold the glass in your hand see if you can push it back in to the plastic knuckle on the rear of the mirror. But if the arm is not adjusting at all i would say its broken .For what they are worth best to pick up a good one and replace it.Also the same mirrors are fitted to the W124 models that adorn your car .
