Best Semi Auto or Auto Hot Hatch

In your opinon what is the best non manual Hot Hatch (apart from A45 Amg)?

I was stuck in traffic behind a A45 this morning and the other side was an S3. The mercedes looked like a chav mobile on comparison to the Audi.

It might well be an age thing, as I'm feeling old today.

Golf R with DSG by an absolute country mile. BMW 1 series good but 8 speed auto box not in same league as DSG for driving dynamics. If you want a diesel then the Golf GTD with performance pack gives you 238 bhp and 50 mpg compared to the R 300 bhp and 30 mpg and is only 1 second 0 -60 mph slower.

I've just done 10,000 miles in 3 months in a GTD PP and it was a great car, a tad nose heavy but performance wise fantastic
