Best song intros?

Of course anything by Santana, Parisienne Walkways and Hotel California have truly iconic intros (especially the latter in the Eagles acoustic Hell Freezes Over tour version), but let's not forget another couple of classics:

Clapton's Leyla

Cocker's With a Little Help From My Friends

But for an intro that always makes the hairs on the back of my neck tingle (as do the song lyrics), how about this from P!nk? (sorry, I can only find the audio on YouTube)

Napalm Death - You Suffer.

Eagles - Hotel California (live at the O2 last year)
Siarway to Heaven - Led Zepplin
November Rain - Guns N roses
Bitter Sweet symphony - The Verve
Layla - Derek and the dominoes
Dont fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult
Anything whatsoever by Pink Floyd
I wish - Stevie Wonder

There are so many.........................

Only one intro is perfect in every possible way (IMHO, obviously)

The Wombats - Moving to New York.

Every instrument comes in at exactly the right time and adds to the excitement, rather than taking away from it..

The rest of the song's not bad either!

God, I detested the music of the era. Punk was just the pits. But this. Superb intro. Unbelievable energy in a song like nothing else...

Sorry mate - it wasn't a dig.

More you had hit on that exact song!

I know some companies block the use of EVERYTHING - I don't because I think it is backwards...

No offence taken :thumb:

+1 for Layla

Also Joe Cocker 'with a little help from my friends' particularly the live version from the 2002 Party at the Palace.
