Best tyres?

Currently yes, the best all round performance tyre IMHO.

The PS4 is still decent and not much of a lesser tyre for a cheaper price.

I have PS4S on the Vantage and PS4 on the Alfa and horrible PZero's I can't wait to wear out on the XJL.

Have the Pilot SuperSport's on the 4200 that were replaced by the PS4S and they were great too. The PS4S is better though in the wet.

Have often used Eagle F1's before and been very happy with them.

I was looking into this yesterday. It seems it's a toss up between PS4 for all round performance, vredestein ultrac vorti for best feel plus very good performance, and Eagle Asym 5s for comfort (again, very good performance).

I personally go for the Eagles, as with a lot of miles, the comfort edges it with virtually no loss in performance (according to end-of-summer 2019 track and wet and dry braking tests, not random internet comment).

Don't discount Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy5 or the latest Continental Sport Contact tyres, both have beaten the PS4s in tyre tests on specific tests.

Same two tyres a seem to fit to my cars. PS4S on the A35 are really something. Or is that the car? Who knows.

Surely a tyre is only as good as driving style conditions and miles covered. Do i want to spend 150 quid a corner to drive 8 miles a day to work at 60 mph. Surely not. Manchester to London at 80mph each day then id say yes.

I want to put the best rubber between my children and the road no matter what the distance. So yes some extreme tyres are a waste of time. I need diversity and often switch to winters when needed.

Its a massive horses for courses debate. People should buy tyres that suit their needs. Its not conclusive or ever will be "which tyre is best " . Its more of a case of which tyre suits my lifestyle the best.

PS4S’s, if you want the best of the best... F1’s I’d say a close 2nd

If you join the c63 group on Facebook a member sells a full set of 19” Michelin’s for under £600, sometimes cheaper

Ive recently bought 4 rotalla race ru1 tyres. As a stop gap to replace the toyo winters i had put on. Now the toyos were not cheap at nigh on 500 quid. The rotallas however were 165 for all 4. 225 40 18 and 255 35 18. I did some research on them and even watched the you tube bloke skid round a wet track in a c63 with the rotallas fitted. Bit of a task for a 40 quid tyre in the wet on a c63. However he didnt condemn them. I will have them fitted soon to the c250 and report back on my findings. I did have contis on last summer so i can at least compare with them. If they turn out to be shyte .ill have to look to replacements myself.

Falken FK510s are pretty good and excellent value too

Barum bravis made by continental are rated . Also uniroyal rainsport 4.

I had two Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5's fitted 6 months ago and so far so good. Will probably get them again.
