2012 , b180 w246, of-side high beam shutter stopped working ,checked all fuses etc still all lights up but no high beam ,nearside all working fine anyone had this problem or can help please

Thanks for your reply. I’ve seen some comments about the shutter sticking. Do they both work off the same relay fuse etc. haven’t heard much about the solenoid issue. What would be the procedure

I would imagine the shutter will have a trigger wire that takes its power from the internal wiring of the headlight unit and will share the same fuse as the high beam circuits.

so lights all working so solenoid should be getting power ,was working fine couple of days ago, l thing I will take out nearside bulb and look at how the shutter works then look at again and see if it is sticking then remove headlight and check for power to solenoid etc and hope its just sticking ,thanks for help

even tried usual screwdriver with hook moving shutter wont move even if l try to force it down ,yet the other side l press it and it goes down easily

Sounds like something is either stuck or broken. I think there are two methods used to move the shutters, Morimoto use a side push which they claim to be the best. My shutters are down on dip and then lifted on main beam to give a flat topped beam that you can throw further down the road than a regular beam pattern. Does it look like the projector can be removed from the light unit for examination or repair.
