Bi-Xenons Fitted - Thanks Prestige Car Service (Black55)

Sounds interesting, the thing that's put me off going for Xenon's being picky like me is that I'd want to do it properly. Roughly what is the cost of the loom and the levelling gear?

Could it be worth retrofitting some of this when I have my suspension done?

Speak to Mark (alfie) for the kit as he can source it much cheaper than I can.

Expect about 4-5 hours work.

So to confirm, does it need sensors on both axles?
Do the axle sensors need much adjustment/ fine tuning, or is it basically fit all in & then headlamps sort themselves out? (ie is it a fairly easy job for competent DIYer?)

You need a star to set it all up and zero the level sensors. I would say thet all of it is DIYable apart from the mounting of the rear bracket:crazy: . Fiddly little job and the rear spring has to be removed.

Yup, two sensors. The front monitors up/down and the rear monitors left/right. (Edit - the rear monitors hieght of the back end not it's tilt left/right as I originally thought)

No adjustment required, just STAR to set the "zero" point (car flat, driver seated)

As Ollie says that rear sensor is a bit of a

Just back from a busy day with Ollie (that's BlackC55, please could a mod edit the title, ty), fitting my new OEM Bi-xenons, plus auto-levelling. :D

Fitting the loom for the sensors required the usual swathes of trim be removed plus out with the front SAM, battery and wipers.

Attaching the sensors front and rear was, erm, "fun". The front was fairly straight forward but the rear required the spring to be removed, then ages trying the attach the braket to the lower suspension arm, access was tight!

The actual lighting units went in very easily, all connected up fine and "BING" there was light!!   - Yes they are that bright! :D

A HUGE thank you to Ollie who laboured away, uncomplainingly, all day. Checking, test fitting, adjusting until he got each part fitted just so.

A great job!

Well done both of you. Ollies attention to detail and your desire for the 'correct' solution worked well.

Sun is shining, so a couple of pics :)

It would be really useful to have a price on retro fitting these. I'd love to have my clk done.

looks good.

Anyone know if this part number would be any use in this posts retrofit(ie self levelling): A0035429818
'yaw rate sender' ?
Many thanks

No, sorry Matt. Nothing to do with the self levelling ..

Ok, thanks anyway :)

I know this is a old thread.
But does anyone have the part numbers for the looms on a 2005 203.
Or should I have a chat with my local dealer.
Thanks.
Phill.
