Big A class Problem

My friend has a T plate A Class she has been to merc and traded in for a new one ,she is picking up on sunday from the dealer but we have a problem,
The thing will turn over but not fire . ((Its a petrol))
it was fine but she did say it has been getting harder and harder to start and that sometimes when she is sat at lights it stalls.
Is this a known fault and what can it be??
time is not on our side as you can guess..
any help please

Has she got AA/RAC home start ? Alternatively are you/anyone else a member with full coverage as they'll assist with 'any car a member is travelling in ' ?

Might be a quick way of just getting it that final journey .
