Awesome! Looking forward to more pics! I was an inch away from buying '67 fastback a few times. I was in LA looking at one, chatting to people of piston heads with them, speaking to mustang specialists in the uk about rebuild prices, and speaking to dealers in Detroit and private sellers in Vegas. And then bought nothing....

Stuff the 'stang. I want your garage :)

Looks a beauty! How soon before you put a 4 barrel on her?;)
If you havn't got this book yet I would recommend it.
Mustang Recognition Guide 1965-1973: Amazon.co.uk: Larry Dobbs, Rick Kopec, Jerry Heasley, Donald Farr: Books
ps I believe there's a new edition out in the states now.

Thanks for the tip, and yes I have the book .... Was invaluable when I bought my first Mustang a few years ago.

I see you have had one before, what happened?

Someone from the owners club doubled my money and I bought the Maserati Quattroporte. Amazing. Awesome. Unforgettable. But money pit. ;)

This Mustang is staying....

Thanks Ted.

My Den

What you don't see is the pinball table, one arm bandit and table football, complete with beer fridge. My favourite room in the house ..... ;)

Don't forget to update your sig...the Mustang is now back:D

Interesting to hear what you said about the Masserati, I had it on my list BUT always concerned about reliability and money pit bills...they do sounds fab tho, probably R8 V8 a better buy....

Looks a fantastic car, I love the colour really cool.....hope it works out for you, enjoy the ride as they say..

Took her for an MOT, and as expected I need new headlights with correct lenses - but just one other fail point - washer jets for the screen - there are none - and thats it ! Amazing for a 50 year odl car bought unseen from the US.

Really chuffed.

(And relieved)

That was a result, I assume because it's a classic car you don't need an SVA and the normal MOT is ok. That's good to know, and also good to see that UK is still keeping import duty at 0% and VAT at 5% for classics too.

So what's the plan for the washer jets? Make up a quick fix from a breakers to pass and then source original parts?

cheers, Steve
