My remote boot release on the key has stopped working and the dealer run it through star and everything is working...........just the boot doesnt open??

Come guys someone must know!!

yup neither key will open it though star says they are working !!

Maybe the wires come off from the solenoid in the boot lid?Or poss from the switch on the centre console,it might complete a circuit.You did take it off did you not

Does it open from the dash switch?
Is there a key position on the lock that allows it to open via remote. Like there is a certain key position that allows the boot to unlock with the central locking or not?

No the switch on the dash opens the boot so the system works and star says the key is sending the IR signal and the radio signal and they are being received???

Check the deadlock on the boot ? Its manual - can't be remotely released. Key is turned 90 degrees to the left (I think). And yep - you do use the actual metal key.
