*big* stonechip by grille

Hi guys

I have had the misfortune of getting a big stonechip on the bonnet of my W220 S Class. It is just below the badge and before the grille, practically where the bonnet curves into the grille. The paint and primer have come off and there is a bare bit of metal a bit less than the size of a penny piece.

I have got the Chipsaway chap coming tomorrow (one which I know is quite good as they do vary a bit) but does anyone have any other ideas or recommendations.

I suppose I should be pleased the stone did not smash the windscreen when I was driving along but I cant help but feel a bit miffed. How much would a new bonnet be?

You don't need a new bonnet! A respray will do but wait to see what the Chipsaway guy says. Then again a bonnet respray should not be that bad (expensive)
