need to say big thanks to Ian for going above and beyond today..

Now I know my car is not a merc, but the job today was change water pump and coolant valve, sound easy... should be 2-3 hrs, not a chance took 5-6 hrs - dident finish till 11pm tonight

got a guide, problem with guide is it must have been written when these cars where new..

first problem to remove pump have to remove fan, bolts seized on, so had to remove all sorts of stuff so we could get it out, then hacksaw bolts off to remove fan ready to go on replacement pump... the installation was much quicker..

coolant valve is against firewall in a very inaccessable place.. normal time 15min.. our time about an 1hr

so big thanks to Ian for perservering and not too many swear words about my JJJAAAGGG..

Gonna let him rest for a month before next little job:devil::D
