It's one of the best options !:)

Thanks C36fan - will go for them.

As time is running out, will bid now and think later about whether they fit or not!

In the meanwhile would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on whether these will fit a 1996 coupe?

The question is do prefacelift shocks fit facelift w124s?

Thanks,

adil

Yes they will fit. However these comfort shocks are designed to operate over a fixed range of travel related to standard spring travel/height. For shortened springs its recommended to use the shorter sports shocks as their shorter operating travel is designed to match the spring. Its argued that a "travel mismatch" means the standard shocker is operated at the limits of its operation rather than in its design sweet spot. This may lead to a shortened life. That said at the right price they are perhaps worth a punt particularly if your own ones are knackered ?

Thanks Grober,

My current set are ok - rears are Monroe gas struts and front are oem items.

I will give them a go and see if there is a significant improvement. Will go for shortened shocks at some point.

Best

Adil
