would clay remove stains caused by bird droppings on metallic paint

Theres a thing on the internet somewhere about a 101 uses for WD40, and one of them was for removing Bird Poo.

If it has started to eat into the paint and the surface is pitted then no.

My CLK came new with several bird lime marks, still chasing the dealer to make a note of them in case problems develop in the future.

After lots of soap and hot water, it's a good first attempt - but if the paint is damaged you'll need a paint renovator - start with the finest one (AG Bodyshop 02b 2000 grit plus water is one, there are plenty of others!).
If you're parking in seagull territory it's worth giving the car a good clean and clay, then a really good waxing so any souvenirs wash off easily.
Good luck!

thanks to everyone for the rapid response will let you know how i get on

Autoglym also do some bird dropping wipes which i carry with me. Stock them at halfords etc.

Clay bar for certain.

It even removes insect poop that WD40 and Baby Wipes wouldn't even smudge.
