Bird muck type etching on windscreen

Any suggestions on how to polish out a sort of acid etch effect which is pretty much all over the windscreen
I have tried autoglym screen polish to no avail

I prefer Sonus Glass & Chrome Polish

Some use T-Cut or even toothpaste!

worst case - have you got windscreen insurance? If the mark impairs vision and it is in swept area it is probably covered.

I'll check the insurance but the excess may head that option off
