Black Birds Eye Maple

I need to bring some distinctly flat birds eye maple back to its former glory.
Has anybody any ideas or recommendations - particularly, how do I avoid polishing surrounding trim/switches/etc while doing this?

Depending on the panel, you could carefully remove it and pop the switches out to do it properly. Eg, the gear surround, etc.

I have had good results in the past using a fine car polish and then applying some wax

Use very soft cloths (eg microfibre) and make sure the polish is very mild.

Have used Autoglym Super Resin Polish on wood trims and have come out a treat, highly reccommended
