Black Bodywork?

Hi All,

Someone has "dinked"my C220 estate n/side boot pillar.A small dent,which probably needs filling and painting.
The colour of the car is Black on the registration certificate,but I can see a very dark blue in certain lights.
Any ideas out there?

The colour code should be stamped on the lower drivers door pillar .

Sounds like Tanzanite blue.

Doubtful it's tanzanite, mine is and says blue on the V5.

You'd have to be colour blind not to tell the difference between Tanzanite and any MB black paint code.

Not always that simple; I've owned cars by the same manufacturer with exactly the same paint code and they were classed as different colours on the V5, one "blue" the other "grey".
