Hi guys, i have a c class 220 cdi avantgade 2003, with no pdf.
I have recently note that too much black smoke come out of the exhaust when accelerating especially on the second gear(manual transmission, 6 gears).
Everything else is O.K. No oils consumption, filters changed regularly, good injectors, MB genuine oil, etc. Even on idle it seems to me to smoky!
Do u have an idea?
Thank you in advance!

Have you checked the EGR valve is not choked?
Also check there are no boost leaks on the pipework anywhere.

I have cleaned the EGR and it is in perfect conditions. The inlet manifold was really dirty but it can be cleaned. Anyway ill check the pipes but i have not noticed anything unusual. Thanks

get catcleaner from eurocarparts to clean exhaust system and cats from clogging

Do you think the problem is in the exhaust?

Have you tried an Italian Tune Up?

Drive it like its been stolen for a few miles. That should clear the system.

+1
If it's an auto, try and hold in a lower gear than you normally would.
I did this for my Mother In Law's S211 a couple of times, as far as she's concerned I took it to my workshop and did some actual work on it.
Mega brownie points.

you have carbon in the system which is in engine and exhaust system using cat cleaner so clean everything save you having to put new cats in the near future
