Kept me awake most of the night, gusts recorded up the road of 70mph! (according to met office)

Also it brought our rickety old fence down :( which considering it's a) rickety and b) old is no surprise I suppose

I wonder how many 'quake-damaged chimney pots have now been huffed, and puffed, and blown right down?!!

Our new Bird house bought for Christmas was on the floor this morning, it has a slate roof and it needs some repair :(

Yes it was windy, the sea was making a lot of noise until 4am and it all went silent

Perhaps the tide turned and it went out?? :D or you fell asleep Malcolm? ;)

Was very blustery here in Bham too, but over the last hour, seems to have stopped being constant. Wanted to have the windows open, but the wind catches them and flings them open. Very angry wind.

All my life I sleep with the window open,, even in Sweden at -20c but last night no way was it possible.

Have you ever thought about stopping snoring :)

Well, I'm not the one bothered by it .

But seriously, yes, I have but it's hard to find something that really works apart from losing more weight .

Breatheright strips usually work for me, but for when I've been drinking, my missus keeps a fork by the bed to poke me with.

After a while, it's fear that stops the snoring

They have worked to some extent but I hate the feeling of them.

I usually snore on a Friday or Saturday, as those are the only days in the week that I will have a few beers or a few glasses of wine with my dinner. :o

 :D

Was very windy here too - kept me awake for large periods during the night. We have the window open usually but had to close it

We have an open fire in our bedroom; high winds makes a lot of noise down the chimney! Plus the TV aerial decides to bounce around when it's very windy. Always amusing

It was exceptionally windy over the North Sea as I flew home last night, I have never felt air-sick before! :o
Even the pilot thought it worth mentioning, "we are entering an area of disturbed air"!
It was like being a cork in a washing machine, even the cabin crew strapped themselves in.

The pilot announced because of the extreme wind at altitude planes were taking longer on their approach and we would be stacked for 40minutes.

We all appluaded his landing, we were almost sideways to the runway at one point

Very windy here too.

Had our wheelie bin blown over......discovered this morning at 8am, it dented and scuffed my bonnet  ......so i started the repair immediately.

Its all ok now

Phew!!

Windy here too ...

Wasn't supposed to be that windy this far south , there was meant to be a big storm pass over the North of Scotland last night , but presumably , for whatever reason it ended up drifting south ....

There's another storm just south of Iceland heading this way at the moment , so windy as well tonight , and then more storms next week ...

Windy here also. Neighbour lost 6 ridge tiles off their garage which just missed our cars. They don't build like they used to!

Right well I had another eventful night. Woke due to wind giving slight swaying to the building anyway, whichw as disconcerting enough given the forces...but then started to hear banging. The fire-windows on the landing had opened, indicating the fire-alarm system (or part of it) had been activated. In addition to this there was no electricity. Around 1.5hrs ~ 2hrs no power. Turns out this morning that some DUMBO IDIOTS had entered the building, TAKEN FUSES OUT and DAMAGED THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!! As a result of the windows being opened there was damage to multiple personal effects, including mine.

You're blooming right, it was blooming windy. It kept me awake for, oh at least, err, a few seconds. I'll sleep through anything. :D

Last night at 23.30 I was windsurfing around the back garden - holding on for dear life. Had a load of fence panels replaced some months ago with new ones, and I've still not taken the old ones to the tip. Trying to move them to a more sheltered area of the garden was interesting. :D

Mine are in various states of disrepair, in various locations. Scary how the house now seems very exposed at the rear, yet in reality it's no different to the non-fenced front
