I have finally taken the decision to get the 581 Thermotronic panel fitted..Just ordered the part and getting Alfie to do the honours..Fingers crossed all goes well..If not, can always return the part for a full refund..

    Nice one! :D

Even with just the panel swap you should feel some improvements in operation. Plus it just looks sooo much better

Yes, it will look nice..always look at the W203's and see this panel and just wish it on mine..for own sanity, taking the plunge..Merc offered to do the honours but as you said, for job well done and know how, alfie is the best route..hopefully he can fit me in this friday or weekend at his place..

next mod will be illuminated sills..and much later will be the exhaust..
how long does an exhaust last..

It is very easy to do this yourself, if you wanted to save a few pennies- even taken leisurely should be less than 20-30mins (plus 1hr to play with all the buttons after!)

True, I did this myself but I then had Richard normalise the flaps and clear some errors.

Performance definately improved after Richard's ministrations

I rather pay and be safe than break and be sorry..alfie can do sort the coding issues and if any surprises, he is at hand to sort it there and then..my mistake was should have done it same time as when i got my comand installed by alfie..would have made life a lot simpler..

The existing trim will swap over, the shape of both climate control panels is the same.

Yup..Loving it already..Although not a goodday for fitting..M25 jam and M23 jam on route back so Comand recalculated route from Alfie's through the country..with traffic, water puddles..very exhausting drive..did not where i was going but trusty Comand led the way..

Alfie as always..first class service..glad i made the trip..Next time i see you alfie, will give pass one one of the Ting Tong smells(comes from thailand)..very addictive and does give the car a fantastic smell..All are welcome to have a sniff at Ollys on 30th Nov..

Thanks to everyone for the support..:bannana: :bannana: :bannana:
