I’m looking to upgrade my radio from standard unit.I’ve seen and looked through the first found units when searching but is there a best one, one I found a while back had all the bells and whistles, also OBD and live data shown by multiple gauges on screen, which I believe can be changed between different live data PID, interested to hear from maybe people who have or know more.

An Android infotainment unit will have built-in Bluetooth and can run apps like Torque or Mercedes Me Adapter or Carly etc that connect to the appropriate dongle plugged into the OBDII scanner. You can also use an OBDII splitter that will allow you to connect several OBDII dongles in parallel, though you'll want to have them tucked safely under (or inside) the dash.
