I have the bluetooth car connection in my 350CDI, when i connect with my Nokia N97 it works perfectly. If I connect with my Nokia N900 I can hear the person at the other end of the phone but they can't hear me.

I have posted this on a Nokia forum and have been asked if the MB bluetooth stack works via RSAP (remote sim access profile) or via HFP (Handsfree profile) - does anyone happen to know or better still know an immediate solution - please don't all say 'just use the N97'!!

Thanks in advance

I thought N900 did not support BT SAP at all, don't they know that at the forum? And if your car does not have comfort telephony but the standard HF support from the head unit, that would be BT HF, the car would not support BT SAP either (you should know that!).

I could borrow your N900 to figure out the solution (could take a year or so ;)), are you sure you don't have audio muted for some reason when you call with N900? does it work with an ordinary BT headset (it isn't the same profile but close)?

After doing some more digging, it would appear the issue is the phone. There is a firmware upgrade coming (apparently) which should address this. In the meantime I will stick with my N97.

Thanks again.

I have the same problem with my Nokia E71 and my RX350 2010
Never had a problem with my Older RX350 Pairing worksAfter pairing the phone gets fully connected. I can make phone calls and the phone's contact list becomes visible on the car's display. When I shut down the car and restart, reconnection is established for about one second, but then disconnects immediately. After a second shut down/restart of the car, no reconnection happensThe only way for it to work I need to pair the phone each time.

I have since discovered that the Nokia N900 doesn't support RSAP and therefore won't work properly with my car. I have reverted back to my N97 but hopefully they may address this in a later firmware version...
