Bluetooth

Would be much obliged for some bluetooth advice on my new Vito. I am buying it online & its being delivered to me so I cant look for myself but the Dealer has advised it doesn't have bluetooth. In the images I can see it has phone buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel (vague memories of something like this before and they called it "bluetooth prep" ?) but no buttons phone related on the front of the head unit. Would I need to change the head unit or do I need a kit of some sort to get it working ?

It depends on the model of head unit fitted.

Some older type require a Bluetooth adaptor, others has Bluetooth built in.

The telephone buttons on the steering wheel are fairly generic and no indicator of a telephone enabled system.

Do you have the VIN?

If so there are a number of free on line decoders that will give you a list of the original equipment fitted at the factory.
