Bluewater Meets

Hey guys,

It was another great little meet at Bluewater!

Bit busy with things at the moment, but I'll pop back on here later.

R2D2 - It was great that you came down and joined us!
I hope your wife wasn't too upset with you!
LOL :D

You have a fine C-Class. It is in exceptional condition - especially when you consider the miles you do!
Well done for looking after it.

Cheers Rash!:) I really enjoyed meeting everyone and especially you and BrabusSL. You guys have truly great cars and it was great to share in your enthusiasm and both of your finishing tips! I may have to take up BrabusSL's offer of help with claying my car:D

My wife has forgiven us for not actually being the car park that we said! She only had to check out all 10,000 spaces to find us!

I have a few snaps I can post but I'm hoping Cliff's photos come out and that he can post them as they will be much better than mine.

I really enjoyed the gtg and hope to join you all again sometime:bannana:

ps. For anyone who hasn't seen Rash's car, it is forensically clean. They come out of the factory in worse condition! Fantasic car in unbelievable condition:)

LOL!

"Forensically clean"... LOL!! :D
Cheers, bud. :o
I appreciate the words of praise. I like to think that MB would be proud of how the car is looking after 3 years.

Upon looking at a clean car, people often do not realise the time and effort it takes to achieve this.
It's great to hear people comment on it, so thanks, bud. :thumb:

It was great that you came down. I'm also glad that your wife didn't grill you too much.
Heehee. She did have abit of a mission finding us, didn't she! lol

You'll have to sneak out one night and join us again.

As for claying your car, yeah, you'd be surprised how much crap is on a paint surface that you didn't know was there.

A good clay and a few applications of a good layering wax should get her shining!

As for photos of last night, yeah, I took a few too. but they often do not come out as good as Cliff's.
So come on Cliff... put the detailing products down and post some up!
lol

I'll see how mine came out. If they are any good, I'll post 'em up.

R2D2, shame you didn't stick around.
Bloody rozzers turned up, innit!

LOL

First, they turned the lights off on us and then the police showed.

But they were cool.
They were looking for usual suspects in Corsa's etc busting moves.

Chatted alittle about the cars and then bid us goodnight.

The drive home was most satisfactory too.

It seems Cliff and I are developing a "duelling" habit. LOL

Side by side at...er...69 mph, our cars absolutely roar!

I spent the last few hours cleaning the car down.
It's always a nervous time after taking the car for a tear.
It's at this time that you discover whether you have aquired any stone chips!

All seems good.

Bluewater mini Meet

Hi All, sorry but it was my Wife's Birthday today which meant I did not have much computer time today. I have just arrived home 23:55 abd I am so tired that I will leave it until tomorrow to upload the lovely pictures that were taken at the most recent Bluewater mini meet.

It was nice to meet R2D2, as Rashman said for a car that has covered such mileage it's in remarkable condition, I think that with a good claying followed by some cut, polish and finish it will look great, the only thing with auto detailing is the up keep, you really have to be dedicated after the detail otherwise its a waste of time.

Rashman.. it was very nice to meet you and your GT-R owner friends also the guy with the BMW 5 series (sorry I forgot his name) i did not get a chance to talk to him for long.

My friend Steve is coming next week for sure, he is having his Quad exhaust fitted to his CLK55 AMG tomorrow, it's being supplied and fitted by CKS Performance, I understand that the exhaust systems are custom made by them, It should sound nice!

I am up early tomorrow (today) as I am driving 180 miles to visit a tuning company.

Anyway... I am shattered so...
Good night All

Yo!

Yeah, was great to get together again.

The guy with the BMW was Dean.
He's a good lad.
But he finds it hard to get away from home life to join us regularly.

Hopefully you'll see him again soon though.

Pictures!....oooo.... I look forward to seeing your handywork!

Looking forward to meeting Steve too!
... and hearing his more vocal 55!

Hope all goes well at the tuners, bud!

Speak soon.

Hey buddy.

It's not strictly a MBclub meet.

I usually head up that way to meet friends.
The meet is just growing alittle, that's all.

You're more than welcome to join us.
There'll usually be something on here to let you know if we're meeting up.

230CLK?

Hey, I used to have one of those puppies!
I still love the shape of the 208.

Heehee.

Yeah, I hear ya.

My 208 had to be pryed from my grip before I gave it up. :(

But a certain 63 made me get over her alittle quicker. :o:devil:

Feel free to bop down on a saturday if we're meeting up.

:thumb:

ooh im sure a 63 would have made it easier for me too :P
im on the look out for either a c55 or e55 but in no rush just waiting for the right one!

I will look out for the posts for your next meet up

Hi R2D2, I went on that long drive (200 miles each way) with my son Ashley, my wife would never even consider coming (unless I promised to take her shopping) so it was cheaper to take my 17 year old son Ashley along.

I was thinking my BHP was down and my Super Charger cooling system was not working correctly but it seems that it is working well and with a very good cooling recovery rate!
it seems that I am down on Bhp but with Dyno's they are so subjective therefore its difficult to tell how correct or true the reading is!

I have taken some lovely pictures but I have left my camera in the garage (again) as some of you may know, my garage is 2 miles from my home. I will try to go there tonight and post them tonight also.

Heehee.
Yeah, the 63 was somewhat... persuasive.

Either of your potential purchases would be good contenders.

C55 would be lighter and therefore more nimbler.

But if you want to know what an E55 can do... have a word with our man Lopez!

My word!

maybe see you soon!

:thumb:

Hey guys,

Saturday should be dry enough for our usual Buewater meet, if anyone was interested.

8.30pm
Cinema mulitstory.

Cliff, I trust you will be there?

Lopez?

This is just up the road from me too and once I finally get an AMG will try and make an appearance. I am amazed the police have not been all over you before as the security is pretty hot there and the police normally have ANPR setups at the weekends.

I always thought the outer ring road would make a good circuit!
