Found a nice BMW 730dSE for good money as a winter family car. It's stock power is 228. For all tuners out there what would I be able to boost this up to with a map
Cheers

265 would be max really on the 3.0d. My father is selling one of these currently on a 58' plate with 58000 miles, in sapphire black, 730d sport, car is a gem.

car is 2 owner, fbmwsh, swirl flaps removed as preventative measure, he now has an F01 730d on drive as replacement to this, car has soft close doors, is a genuine sport model. Interested ??

Not sure why you'd want to boost the power on one of these for use as a winter car? It's all about the torque on this car anyway. I had one, very competent, but never loved it like I did my E38.

P.s. having said that, it would clearly respond well to a remap, my guess would be 265!

What kind of price is he looking for ? It's newer than I was looking for and I only have a budget

Winter tyres will be expensive on that. I have an old Volvo for winter, and it has winter tyres on all year.

Not gonna put winters on its just I have a SLK32 conv aswell and I was going to sorn it for 6 months November to April and always fancied a 7 series

Can someone tell me what are swirl flaps? What do they do and why would you remove them as a preventive measure?

Swirl flaps are valves on emissions side of things and they can fail drop in engine and poop new engine required and at around 9 k it's good to be rid of them

Sorry SLK, he has been offered more on we buy any car.

Come view the car, its honestly immaculate. ( he is retired ) Has a company come once a week to clean the car. Ive corrected the paint last year so it is free of any swirls etc. Its a really genuine car, and its clear to see its been looked after. You would not be disappointed. 4 premium brand tyres, loads of life. Mot til October this year. Mot was done at local BMW dealership, no advisories. All service is there, all main dealer. Both remote keys, the spare looks genuinely brand new ( never been used, still in plastic baggy ).

Bi xenon lamps, high beam assist, electric everything, and everything works.

This is the run out model for this shape, 58' is the newest you will pick one of these up, and all the creases were ironed out by this point.

Car has been totally reliable, nothing has ever gone wrong with it. He is in an F01 730d now and still says the older car drives better. ( I would agree ).

Hi sorry 9k is best I can do but I did get that price from wbac.com as on other sites they ranged from 7k with high mileage upwards.
However if your dad fails to sell the offer is still there as I'm not in any rush
Cheers

Celtic tuning claim 330bhp with a remap, uprated turbo and dpf delete
