I've had the pleasure of a few hours in a friends one driving it and have to say what an awesome car!!, at first I was really unimpressed with its power thinking "is that it?" because compared to an AMG engine they have no power at the bottom of the rev range, it's a really peaky V8 but once you get used to it, it's good fun.
The handling on it is great too, really precise.
Would I buy one over a C63?, probably not but it would be a very close call.

Also I ran into someone in an S65, it pulled away from the M3 rather well and I thought wow that goes well for a 55K engine, I only saw V12 bi turbo a bit later.

Have to agree the m3 handles like no other but the power feels a fair bit less. But the BMW truly is a drivers car. Has a LSD too:rock:

I owned an E90 M3 (with a standard manual gearbox) for a short while at the beginning of the year and it was a truly exceptional car, maybe not as fast as a C63 in a straight line but it was a lot of fun on country roads and the like.

I'm not sold on the engine but the rest of the car is fantastic.
The engine felt a bit bike like in its power delivery, which is great on a bike, not so much in a car though.
