BMW to recall 350,000 cars

350,000 V8 and V12 5-Series,6-Series,7-Series and Rolls Royces built between 2001 and 2009 to be recalled with a brake issue.

BBC story says this is due to potential leaks developing causing a vacuum loss and so reducing the power braking assistance provided.

It quite surprising that this goes back over such a long period of time. I'm also thinking of that chest freezer on wheel (aka RR Phantom) heading for the lights with no assistance on the brakes....

Huh? why?

It was meant to be that you got a very slight reduction in braking, around 95% efficient still, I bet more people than not had brake fluid that was out of date in those recalled cars, and that would effect it more so.
