Its the same mirror on an E90 3 series too...I'd try a BMW forum. babybmw.net is good 1 series based place where advice can be had.

Try using search4carparts.com it will search in german/italian/french across the european ebays (for those willing to ship to UK) - which tends to find many more parts than an ebay UK search for "BMW 1 mirror"
