Body respray in East London?

Hello everyone,

Having read this forum since 2003, I finally tempted to bring home a 420 SEL.

Is there any recommended body shop for a full respray in East London?

It'll be the first time for me to do it. How much will I spend for this looong merc? Who suppose to buy the paint? Any suggestions to get better quote?

Does your intended car need just a respray or does it need repairs? eg welding etc. If it is just a respray, then preparing the car yourself will reduce the cost significantly. For a proper job, all glass, door handles, all chrome strips, bumpers, lights need to be removed; then existing paintwork carefully rubbed down ( finishing with fine paper such as 800 or even 1000 grade)
