Boge or Monroe Shock Absorbers

Hey guys , i own a 2005 Mercedes c230 Sport. Lately my car tempts to drift on any corner, my mechanist said it was the shocks going bad. So after a market search i am going to have to chose between Monroes and Boge ... Whats the better choice ?

There are different types- I would go for the Boge gas type ones myself. BEWARE OF BUYING CHEAP CHINESE MADE KNOCK OFFS ON EBAY.

Yeah i noticed that. I was opting to go with Boge BUT the price difference between Monroes and Boge made me hesitate. Monroes have a name and cost alot less than Boge ...

Why dont you go for original shocks? The price difference is negligeable.

I've always considered Monroe shocks to be at the lower end of the budget and something I'd only fit to a cheap runabout.

Me too although I had Boge years ago and they were fine. The company is now part of ZF, as is Sachs. Oh, and Lemfoerder too.

Sach-Boge are the same company and the parts are the same, sometimes with both part numbers on.

But if you must choose between Boge and Monroe, all I can say is that 30 years ago - Boge was considered better than Monroe, if this helps...

OE costs 3 times the Boge price, thats ridiculous !
But after reviews and going through the net , Boge is the best to go with , price wise and performance wise.
