Just a quick one .

Looking to fit the new AMG 18's.

Never had the wheels off yet so are they Bolts ar nuts.

Secondly do I need new bolts or will the existing ones be ok.

Cheers

Shaun

They are bolts, and the existing ones will probably work if you have factory alloys on. For the w202 there are only two types of oem bolt, those for steels and those for alloys. The wheels are supposed to be fitted to a w210, there is a good chance the bolts will be exactly the same but it's not guaranteed, I will check for the bolt part numbers later to confirm, although no doubt someone will have real-life experience and post before I can look it up ;)

Cheers Shude. New I Could rely on you. It just Im going down to Motormania later to pick up some locking nuts and as they shut at 6 I needed to no before having chance to un do one to have a look.

Must say im very impressed with them. Just need to convince myself they fit OK then they will be in storage for 2 weeks until the Kit get fitted.

I would say you are better off going to the stealers and getting some proper locking studs mate ;)

Additional:

For the W210:

A1704010170 : steels M12x1.5 x 21
A2034010270 : alloys M12x1.5

Note that neither bolt is originally for the w210 ;)

For the W202:

A1704010170 : steels
A2024000070 : alloys

We can safely assume that the bolts are the same, for factory-spec wheels anyway.

Makes sense- Mercedes no longer make some of the bolts for R129 and W210, so if you quote them 'A' part numbers, they'll give you the corresponding B prefix number. The extended shoulder R129 bolts is replaceable by the B66470133..
All A prefix part numbers are now replaced by B, but the parts are sometimes stamped with the A prefix number.. like the 50 sets of blue and chrome centrecaps I just bought.. So who has a 2005 Parts CD? With prices, too??

aha! so that would explain why the parts stamped with an A number are in a packet with a B number sticker on it...
